After studying Urban and Regional Planning for a few months, I realize that there are so many Islamic values applied in this course. John Ratcliffe said
“Town Planning concerned with providing the right site, at the right time, in the right place, for the right people”
Don’t you see that town planning has the similarity with one of the Islamic characteristics which is ‘ADALAH (عدالة) or in English we call it JUSTICE. In Islam, justice means
“providing the right thing in the right place”
Once the planners design a site, they have to consider many things such as environment, social, community, economy and so on.
